Visit of CIGRE Presidents at Hivoduct

Last week, Hivoduct had the distinct honour of welcoming Prof. Konstantin Papailiou, President of CIGRE, and Prof. Klaus Fröhlich, former President of CIGRE, for a visit and an in-depth technical exchange. 

The discussions focused on current developments in high-voltage transmission and the future requirements for powerful, efficient, and sustainable energy infrastructures. With its technology, Hivoduct is already making a significant contribution to improving efficiency and advancing sustainable solutions in modern power transmission systems. 

During a tour of our production facilities, our guests gained insights into key technologies and processes at Hivoduct. The visit included our assembly, mechanical machining, and high-voltage laboratory, where essential testing and development activities are carried out. 

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for open dialogue between industry and internationally recognized experts in energy engineering. We would like to thank our guests for the inspiring exchange and their visit, and we look forward to meeting again at the CIGRE Paris Session 2026.
